Christian Boye. Full sleeve and chest piece visible. Dropout Copenhagen.
Bonework by Boyetattoo

Christian Boye

Boyetattoo. That dude from Denmark.

15 years dark art freehand. No stencils, no Pinterest references, no copy-paste from another client. I draw the cover straight onto your skin, freehand, the morning of session one. The composition reads the body: the new piece adapts to whatever is already there, follows its lines, and absorbs them. Out of Dropout Copenhagen, guests on the US tour. Cover-ups and larger fresh-skin work, for people who are into the dark stuff.

What a cover-up actually looks like

From the photo you hate to the piece you keep.

Five steps. Two to three day-sessions in one trip. I read every submission myself.

01 · Send the regret.

Submit

One clear photo and one line. I read it myself, usually inside 5 business days. If it can be covered, you get a yes and a rough day count back.

02 · I plan the cover.

Design

No stencil. No Pinterest reference. The composition is locked to your anatomy and to what is already there. You see the direction before you fly.

03 · Freehand on skin, morning of.

Day one

I draw the cover straight onto your skin, freehand, the morning of session one. The line work goes in the same day. You walk out with the spine of the piece already on you.

04 · Finish and healing brief.

Day two or three

Most covers land in 2 day-sessions. Heavy chest and full-sleeve work runs 3. You leave with a healed plan written down, not a verbal brush-off.

05 · 6 to 8 weeks later.

Healed

The cover settles. You send a healed photo. I repost the best ones. That is when the regret piece is gone.

Laser, or cover.

The math is not close.

Laser removal

8 to 12 sessions. Months apart.

  • $1,000 to $8,000 across 1 to 3 years
  • Pain on every session, blistering and scabs
  • Often partial fade, sometimes hypopigmentation
  • No art at the end. Just skin and a bill.
Cover-up with Boyetattoo

2 to 3 day-sessions. One trip.

  • 11k DKK in Copenhagen, $3,500 a day on the US tour
  • Tattoo pain, once, on consecutive days
  • Direct cover on solid black, deep tribal, post-laser ghost
  • A piece you keep. Healed in 6 to 8 weeks.

If laser would actually save you a session, I will say so before you book. The default is direct cover.
